Safety Recommendations

Recommendations made here (regarding distance and refraining from wearing smart watches and bluetooth airpods) are made following the measurement of radiation levels of common devices and examing these against  known risks of electromagnectic radiation. These have been published in an  Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) paper which can be downloaded below.  Note, not all of the papers recommmendations are included here and this is because we believe that some suggestions in the paper may give a lower exposure but are more likely result in more chronic  exposure.

Mobile Phone

  1.  Keep off your body, not in your pocket, or bra, unless on Areoplane mode.

  2.  Browse and stream with phone on the table. Keep 50cm away or at arm's distance from the body.

  3.  When calling keep mobile phone 1 metre away from the body. More radiation is created calling than receiving
  4.  Use 4G, turn off 5G.
